milton keynes massage
My story so far….
Here’s a little bit about me
My children are a big part of why I have chosen holistic therapies as a path to follow. I have used different things with my children over the years to help with migraines, stress, general illnesses & bruising. So, meditation, aromatherapy & reflexology have all had a role in helping ease those ailments.
Becoming interested in spiritual healing and alternative therapies about 20 years ago. This was after attending a few workshops and weekend retreats to learn self-healing. Therefore, the skills used were meditation, crystals and various other techniques with a lovely lady called Anne Jones.

I then became pregnant with my eldest daughter. I was on my own and spent a lot of time reading pregnancy mags & books. This was leading me towards using alternative therapies, herbs, aromatherapy etc. Throughout pregnancy and my early stages of motherhood, I liked the idea of not pumping my perfect little bundle with chemicals. Also, liked the idea of becoming my own boss so that I could work around my daughter and still be a stay at home mum for her. Therefore, I believed that I could set up my own small business as a therapist and support my little girl financially so that I didn’t have to rely on benefits as a single mum. I enrolled at MK college on the Holistic Therapy Diploma and started my journey – which didn’t end as I thought it would, (does it ever?!!)
I met a guy, fell pregnant with my second bundle of joy – only this pregnancy wasn’t a joy and as a result, I had to leave college. Consequently, I ended up getting married and moving away from MK.
I kept my interest in therapies and did some home study courses in reflexology and Indian head massage, this was my little bit of sanity as things were not all good on the home front and eventually, I moved back to MK on my own with my two small children to start afresh.
CHILDREN BITS AND BOBS
I enrolled again at MK College on the Holistic therapies course, this time completing it in 2006.
I started to print flyers off and spend hours walking around putting them through letterboxes. Also, doing pamper evenings and charity events and slowly built up a small & very lovely client base which I did alongside other full-time jobs.
Whilst all this was going on I met another man, a good one this time! We married in 2009. After trying to conceive for 5 years with no luck, we made the decision to have IVF. I had some reflexology treatments before we started so that I was balanced. I wanted to give my body the best chance possible of getting pregnant. It was a long process, with all the tests beforehand, being prodded & poked and actually nothing was wrong with either of us. It was just not working.
We were not entitled to NHS treatments, so we used Care clinic in Northampton. They were amazing, very supportive & understanding, highly recommended. We were so very lucky, our treatment worked the first time, both embryos embedded and we had two healthy babies, one boy, one girl! We couldn’t have planned it any better, could we!
When the tweenies reach two, I decided I wanted to get back into the world of the working & launch into my holistic career again, this time as a full-time job. The timeout and the experience of having the IVF redefined what I wanted to achieve as a therapist.
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Although I am qualified as a massage therapist, which I enjoy, I have a passion for reflexology. Also, I wanted to be able to use this to help other couples who are trying to conceive, which is why I attended further training in these areas.
Continued my study over the years, completing courses in pregnancy massage, pregnancy reflexology, reflexology for conception, deep tissue massage, holistic facial and a diploma in sports massage, level 3.
My style of treatment is normally a combination of all of my skills & each treatment is tailored to you and your needs.
I have also gained qualifications in make-up artistry, manicure & pedicure, gel nails and acrylic nails. Waxing, spray tanning and wedding hair-up!
I am continually updating my training, completing new courses and keeping up to date with the changes in the industry. This is not because I have to, but because I love to learn and I want to offer the best services to my clients. I thoroughly enjoy my job and I love the positive impact my treatments have on my clients.
I’m a member of the Professional Reflexology and I hold the requisite insurance to practice.
